It's day 3 of the #thehostcollaborative challange! Today we are sharing a favorite part of our Airbnbs! For me, it's this corner! I love supporting small makers and artisans and featuring their work in my own Airbnb. This beautiful handmade mobile I found on Etsy and it's a smooth, buttery brass... It gently moves in the breeze and our guests love it! My husband is an artist and created a beautiful large-scale painting for our Airbnb and the colors are amazing. Adding in small details and thoughtful touches will really go a long way to making your guests’ stay feel unique and special.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As you may know, I also have an Etsy shop for hosts. I design hosting templates, to make other hosts' life easier! Branding your Airbnb, and creating your welcome book should be easy, especially when you are running ( literally) to get your Airbnb ready for guests. It's is day #2 of the @thehostcollaborative challenge and the question is: Why do I host?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I host for many reasons! I wanted to create something beautiful, tangible, and real, so when we bought our 1957 Mid-century charmer. I saw the lower floor as being the key: Let's turn it into an Airbnb! We built a wall to close off a hallway and instantly had an adorable 2 bedroom suite that we could welcome guests into! The suite has its own private French doors and pathway, which makes it a private oasis for Airbnb guests! Anyone can do this if you can visually carve out a space in your existing home, shed, or garage!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hosting has been amazing, flexible and so rewarding to us as a family! We host when we like, and when we travel, we even rent the entire house. The additional income pays our mortgage AND we get to welcome amazing guests from around the world. Once you have a hosting system down, it is a passive income that continues to grow every year.
