My grandmother kept a pair of my mom’s bronze-dipped baby shoes on her dresser, and I always loved how special and nostalgic they felt. When my own daughter’s shoes started getting tight, I wanted that same sentimental memory—without spending $100 or buying fancy gold holiday shoes she’d only wear twice.

• One loved, well-worn pair of baby shoes

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep Your Shoes
